Accounting for Fujairah.
Federal tax, zero distance.

Accounting, VAT and Corporate Tax for Fujairah’s port economy — bunkering, shipping, oil storage and trading — run from our Dubai office, as we have for clients across all seven emirates since 2017. UAE tax is federal: the FTA, EmaraTax and every deadline are identical on the east coast, and partner review travels well.

We serve Fujairah from our Dubai office — remote-first, on site when the work needs it. UAE tax is federal: the FTA, EmaraTax and every filing deadline are the same in all seven emirates.

Who provides accounting, VAT and audit support for Fujairah businesses?

Authentic Accounting serves Fujairah from its Dubai office — there is no local branch — pairing remote bookkeeping, VAT and Corporate Tax compliance with on-site visits for stocktakes, fixed-asset verification and audit-support fieldwork. UAE tax is federal: 5% VAT, the AED 375,000 registration threshold, 9% Corporate Tax and the EmaraTax deadlines apply identically on the east coast, including inside Fujairah Free Zone and FOIZ.

Free zones & VAT

Fujairah’s zones, and what they change.

Fujairah’s flagship zones are the Fujairah Free Zone beside the port and the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) behind the east coast’s bunkering and oil-storage trade. Free-zone status does not lighten the books — claiming the 0% Qualifying Free Zone Person rate takes qualifying income, adequate substance, staying inside the de minimis limit and audited IFRS financial statements. That discipline starts in the ledger, not at the return.

Both are also designated zones under Cabinet Decision 59/2017 (as amended) — where east-coast VAT turns technical. Certain goods supplied within or between designated zones can fall outside the scope of UAE VAT; the same goods consumed in the zone, or moved to the mainland, are generally taxed normally — services follow the normal rules. For bunkering, storage and trading, the answer turns on each cargo’s movement, so we document the treatment per flow, not per customer.

FAQ

Working with us from Fujairah, answered.

Do you have an office in Fujairah?+

No — our one office is in Al Nahda 1, Dubai, and we say so plainly. UAE tax is federal: the FTA, EmaraTax, VAT and Corporate Tax rules in Fujairah are identical to Dubai’s, so the recurring work runs remotely on cloud ledgers. We travel to the east coast for the work that is genuinely physical — stocktakes, fixed-asset verification and tagging, and audit-support fieldwork — and we have served clients across all seven emirates this way since 2017.

How does VAT work in the Fujairah Free Zone and FOIZ?+

Both are designated zones under Cabinet Decision 59/2017 (as amended), so certain movements of goods — into, within or between designated zones — can fall outside the scope of UAE VAT, while goods consumed in the zone or moved to the mainland are generally taxed normally. Services follow the standard VAT rules regardless of the zone. The treatment turns on each flow’s facts, so we map and document it per movement rather than assuming a blanket answer.

Can you act as our statutory auditor in Fujairah?+

No — we deliberately do not perform statutory audits, and we would not audit books we help prepare. What we provide is audit support: preparing the schedules, reconciliations and evidence packs your appointed auditor asks for, managing their queries and closing the findings afterwards. Free-zone entities that need audited IFRS financial statements — including QFZP claimants — lean on exactly this preparation.

What Corporate Tax rules apply to a Fujairah company?+

The same federal rules as everywhere in the UAE: 9% on taxable income above AED 375,000 and 0% below it, with the return and payment due on EmaraTax within nine months of year-end. Small Business Relief can apply where revenue stays at or under AED 3 million (conditions apply, for periods ending by 31 December 2029 following Ministerial Decision 131 of 2026), and free-zone entities may access the 0% QFZP rate if they meet its conditions — audited IFRS financial statements included.

Rules current as at August 2026 — general guidance, not tax advice.
